How to reach

By plane: Dortmund can most conveniently be reached from two airports: Dortmund itself and Düsseldorf.

From Düsseldorf airport: The train S1, direction to Dortmund, stops at the University (Dortmund Universität). As an alternative, you can take any train to Dortmund main train station (Dortmund Hauptbahnhof, Hbf) and from there the S1 back to the University. From this train station it is a 10-15 min walk across the Campus to the Seminar Building, Friedrich-Wöhler-Weg 6, 44227 Dortmund, Auditorium 1.001

From Dortmund airport: Take the Airport Express (Bus) to Dortmund main train station (Dortmund Hauptbahnhof, Hbf), travel time is approx. 40 min. From here take the train S1, which stops directly at the University (Dortmund Universität). From the train station it is a 10-15 min walk across the Campus to Seminar Building, Friedrich-Wöhler-Weg 6, 44227 Dortmund, Auditorium 1.001

By train: The University has its own train station for line S1 (S-Bahn, look for a white S on a green circle). From Dortmund main station the S1 leaves every 20-30 min and needs 7 min to the University (Dortmund Universität). From the train station it is a 10-15 min walk across the Campus to the Seminar Building, Friedrich-Wöhler-Weg 6, 44227 Dortmund, Auditorium 1.001.

By car: The campus of the Technische Universität Dortmund is situated close to the motorway intersection Dortmund West, where the Sauerlandlinie A45 (Frankfurt-Dortmund) crosses the Ruhrschnellweg B1 / A40. The best motorway exit you find on the A 45 is "Dortmund-Eichlinghofen" and on the B 1 / A 40 "Dortmund-Dorstfeld". There are signs at both exits leading you to the university.
